We are pleased to announce that Ixis Developer Josh, has been shortlisted for the Little Chip Placement / Apprentice Award category at the 2018 Big Chip awards held in Manchester, UK.
Josh has been shortlisted for his work developing the software “Samurai” during his apprenticeship time here at Ixis. The Drupal software security updates at Ixis used to freeze the entire support team and take a full day to complete across our client base. Josh wrote an application, using Drupal as the framework, with the goal of automating the process. Now it only takes one person and less than half the time to detect and apply the correct updates across all our sites; a great achievement!

I’m pleased to have been shortlisted for the award. It’s great to have your work recognised within the region and would love to attend the awards evening.

The Big Chip Awards dinner will take place on 4th July, where we are hopeful that Josh can win the award.
Josh is currently working towards a Level 4 Software Developer Qualification with Happy Apprentices. The course is comprehensive and updated frequently, and it even contains Drupal components. Josh says that he would not say no to doing any more qualifications in the future with Ixis.
We are delighted with how well Josh is getting on at Ixis, he has worked really hard and is a valuable member of the team.
