I was invited to attend the coronation festival at buckingham palace on friday, where royal warrant holders were invited to exhibit and showcase products and services supplied to the Queen.
As a provider of hosted IT and datacentre services to the royal household, Pulsant treated me along with fellow customers, to lunch at the palace and champagne in the gardens. Now, don't get me wrong, this is not the lifestyle to which I am accustomed. Working in tech, and more specifically, with the Drupal community, I am lucky if I go to a beer and pizza event or occasionally invited to go Karting.
But, this was an opportunity not to be missed, and we shared lunch with fellow techies, Tim from Deeson Online and Kate Craig-Woods from Memset.
Aside from strolling round the Rose Garden and buying Rum, organic Gin, soap and chocolate from the stall holders, I was there to work and enjoyed discussing how we can strengthen the G Cloud framework for both suppliers and customers, and sharing learning with other tech agencies on the digital landscape. As ever, Pulsant were consummate hosts and made the event thoroughly enjoyable, big thanks to Sam and Natasha for having me.
Here are a few snaps from the day.
