Following on from our recent ISO Certification success, Ixis are pleased to announce that we also recently gained our Cyber Essentials certification and feature on the government's register of all the different companies that have gained the Cyber Essentials certificate in the last 12 months.
Cyber Essentials is a Government led scheme aimed at providing businesses and organisations with a set of technical controls to improve their cyber defences and demonstrate to the public their commitment to cybersecurity. The scheme addresses the most common internet based threats such as hacking, phishing and password guessing. It also checks our internal IT, ensuring we have the correct configuration and governance of our devices; however, thanks to the ISO 27001 controls already in place we were prepared.
By gaining the Cyber Essentials certification this gives assurances to both our clients and third parties that Ixis are committed to applying secure cyber practices and we comply with standards. It’s a statement that we are a safe partner.
By gaining the Cyber Essentials certification, Ixis were looking to ensure our policies pertaining to the handling of clients security were as robust as those applied internally and further demonstrated our continued quest to maintain the high a level of cybersecurity we already provide for our clients and ourselves.
As a company with bases in both Manchester and Warrington, and a number of staff working remotely, this presented a number of challenges as all these different elements needed to be coordinated and managed to ensure compliance and consistency.
We have always worked as a company to maintain the highest standards within our team across all fronts and gaining the certification provided us with further confirmation that we are doing everything we can to maintain these high standards.
