After another successful year in the land of Drupal we're pleased to be expanding the development team here at Ixis. We're on the look out for two developers to join us on-site in our Daresbury office in the UK. Your work will be based at our new office and travel to clients is not required.

We work in a relaxed and informal environment, where the ability to manage your time and work load independently is important. You'll often be involved in several projects at the same time, although you may be responsible for a website from start to finish depending on work load.

University degrees are not required, but examples of previous work - code or visual - should be submitted. Please also include your salary expectation along with a copy of your CV. To apply please use our job application form.

Although both roles are not client facing, applicants should be aware that there may be circumstances which require you to work directly with clients.

Senior Web Developer

A solid understanding and 2+ years real-world experience of PHP, Javascript/JQuery and MySQL are essential as you will be leading the design and building of components for the Drupal CMS in order to solve client requirements.

A good understanding of XHTML and CSS2+ in order to amend and output markup is preferable, although you will not be required to build full site templates.
Any LAMP related administration skills will be welcomed, with the potential for increased responsibility and salary as part of our hosting & support department.
We will provide in-house training for Drupal to you are not already experienced in the use of the content management system.

Junior Drupal Administrator

We're looking for somebody who is experienced in putting together websites using the Drupal software. Knowledge of common modules, techniques, and the structure of the content management system are essential. Some training can be provided by our existing staff where required.

This role does not require any solid programming skills in PHP, but you will be expected to expand your skill set with the learning of some PHP skills.

Ability to hand code XHTML and CSS for building Drupal themes is preferable, as is basic use of Photoshop for handling design agency work supplied to us. A good eye for attention to details is essential to ensure work completed is to a high standard.

On-site Drupal training will be provided if it is identified as required in order to carry out your role at Ixis. We will also offer the opportunity to acquire the PHP 5 Zend qualification to progress with in the company.

To apply please use our job application form.

We are NOT currently interested in tele-working, outsourcing, or recruitment agencies. Please save time and do not contact us if you fall in to any of these categories. We are registered on the corporate telephone preference service and will file complaints for recruitment companies who ignore this.
