We secured another major public sector contract with the Care Quality Commission, via the government’s G-Cloud procurement framework.
We were appointed to provide managed hosting and support services to health and care watchdog the Care Quality Commission. This involved migrating 2 sites, www.cqc.org.uk and www.healthwatch.co.uk to our infrastructure and an ongoing maintenance and support contract post launch.
Once the transition was completed onto our systems, our web operations and systems administration personnel then began to optimise performance and proactively monitor and scale servers and infrastructure at peak traffic times.
Full migration from other provider and testing
24/7 monitoring & support of custom modules
Content delivery network & load balancing across multiple availability zones
Public cloud infrastructure including auto-scaling
Performance troubleshooting and optimisation
Disaster recovery configuration & support.
Additional functionality was then introduced over time including the introduction of Mulesoft enterprise service bus (ESB) to handle the aggregation and processing of large amounts of data feeds covering the inspection ratings and businesses before pushing them in to the Drupal CMS for the general public to search and consume.
This contract was key to our strategy to deliver digital services to the public sector and this contract demonstrates the trust in our ability to provide agile, iterative, digital development methodologies and the security of our robust hosting platforms.
