Uniper, a leading international energy company operating from Dusseldorf, Germany, was formed in 2016 when E.ON spun off major parts of its business, forming Uniper as a separate company. Uniper provides a reliable supply of energy and related services. Its main operations include power generation in Europe and Russia and global energy trading. Overall, Uniper operates in more than 40 countries.
The Brief
Uniper wanted to move away from their old website in Adobe CQ5 CMS, and upgrade their website to Drupal 8, and consolidating some smaller subsidiaries onto the main corporate site. This was to incorporate a web content management system, and new information architecture, which Ixis will be responsible for hosting and supporting.
In 2017 they tasked Ixis with providing a fully managed hosting service covering their infrastructure and application support. In addition to this Ixis where also asked to deliver ongoing PHP Drupal development, SEO and digital marketing services for Uniper.
Ixis has a considerable track record of working with major enterprise clients and, owing to their specific expertise with Drupal, are the perfect fit when it comes to providing hosting and support for the new Uniper sites.
The Results
After a successful migration to Drupal, Uniper has a stable hosting platform which has enabled them to focus on further development enhancements of the corporate website including the growth to 14 microsites.
The Uniper website growth has been supported and kept secure by Ixis for the over 3 years with additional security implemented such as the introduction of a web application firewall (WAF).
